Welcome, Eileen McGowan!

Eastern Christian is pleased to welcome Eileen McGowan as preschool paraprofessional.

McGowan is a loving mother and grandmother of ten. She recently retired after 49 years working in public safety communications and is very excited to be working for Eastern Christian Elementary Preschool. McGowan attends Van Riper Ellis Broadway Baptist Church in Fair Lawn.

Tell us about yourself

I grew up in Hawthorne and have lived in New Jersey my entire life. I love to be with my children and grandchildren as much as possible. I also like to travel and experience new things.

Tell us the story of how God brought you to EC

Before I retired, I prayed for the Lord’s guidance, knowing I needed a change. My daughter-in-law mentioned there was a paraprofessional position open. I inquired, and I am very excited to be part of the EC family.

What sets EC apart?

Being part of orientation and individual meetings I have attended, I can feel God’s love within each staff member. It is so reassuring after being in the worldly workforce. God has a plan for me, and I know in my heart working at EC is where I belong.
